2025 FacetoFace Intern
Important Information
Do you desire to foster encounters with Jesus Christ and lead effective youth ministry? If so, come do an internship to learn and work alongside youth ministry professionals at FacetoFace Ministries. Our experienced staff will teach you the ins and outs of ministry you can’t learn in a classroom. In this 8-month internship you will learn the fundamentals of effective ministry while putting theory into practice in the context of FacetoFace Ministries events and programs.
You will develop practical and technical skills like explaining games well, presenting an effective talk, and using production software. In addition, you will develop transferable skills like communication, teamwork, and problem-solving.
Considerations before applying:
- FacetoFace Ministries is looking for someone who desires to have a career in youth ministry, where this is a unique opportunity to develop the necessary skills to do so
- Applicant must be willing to relocate if not already residing in Saskatoon
- Due to Retreat Leaders needing to share hotel rooms with other male staff, this position is only open to male applicants

Purpose & Summary
The FacetoFace Intern has the unique opportunity to come alongside FacetoFace Ministries to receive formation and learn practical youth ministry and event leading skills.
Goals
- Increased knowledge of youth ministry and FacetoFace Ministries
- Understand the various aspects of FacetoFace events and what is needed to be excellent at them
- Gain valuable experience in youth ministry
- Be able to lead a youth ministry event
- Receive technical training to lead youth ministry events
- Improve event leading skills though practice at FacetoFace events and feedback afterwards
- Assist and contribute in the conversion of souls
- Become a suitable applicant for future job opportunities with FacetoFace Ministries and other youth ministries
Primary Components of Internship
Learning Principles
Learning key principles from the FacetoFace Ministries staff, presentations, books, and experience, including:
- Fundamentals of FacetoFace Ministries
- Youth ministry training, including relational ministry
- Skills for leading FacetoFace Ministries events and programs, such as transitions, talks, games, prayer moments, schedules, and gear
Practical Experience
Applied learning by shadowing and helping lead elements of the following events and areas:
- Introductory events, such as School Retreats and Confirmation Retreats
- Interest events, such as FacetoFace Nights, Elevate Conferences, and contracted events
- Ignite Camps and/or Ignite Junior
- Administrative Tasks
- Fundraising
Intern Specifications & Qualifications
Applicant requirements:
- Applicant must be willing to relocate if not already residing in Saskatoon

Application qualifications:
- Actively trying to grow in Christ-like character, including Sacramental life and consistent daily prayer
- A desire to share the gospel of Jesus Christ, and a trusting reliance on God to yield the hoped-for results
- A desire to do youth ministry, particular by leading events with FacetoFace Ministries
- Teachable
- Willing to live out the FacetoFace values of humility, excellence, and Christ-centred relationships
- Growing their knowledge of, and ability to express, the teachings of the Church
- Technologically apt and proficient with computers
- Creative and innovative
- Musical ability is an asset, but not required
Internship Workspace Conditions
- Weeks will be spent both in the FacetoFace office in Saskatoon and on the road around western Canada at FacetoFace Events.
- Some evening and weekend hours are required.
- Travel expenses when on the road for events will be covered.

- Internship hours will average of 37.5 hours per week.
- Intern will receive an intern stipend of $2000/month.
- Intern has the option to earn more by fundraising.

- 8 Months – January 7 to August 31, 2025.
